I think that you should go and talk to him again. You should leave your boyfriend whether or not the Italian is single or not. Your boyfriend is treating you like crap, and you deserve so much better. Nobody should be treated like he's treating you. Leave him, kick his *** out of your house, and see if you can get the Italian man back, after apologizing and explain to him why you said that you shouldn't talk anymore (I'm guessing it's because you started having feelings for him too but you didn't think it appropriate because you have a boyfriend).
