Would this be a dealbreaker in a relationship?

Hello, i met what seemed to be a nice guy. he is cute,has a job,his own house,car etc but at the end of a lengthy phone conversation one night he mentioned he smoked weed. we had talked quite a bit in length b4 & this was never brought up but once he admitted that, i was sat back a bit & turned off not knowing if i should continue this. We continued to talk but im always wondering & second guessing. Now for me this is a red flag but not sure if it should be a deal breaker. what do u think? Would it be a deal breaker in pursuing a healthy relationship? its illegal & so thats why im hesitant.
