Can you register your car in a different state than your insurance?

I recently moved from PA to KY and had to switch my insurance because my prior insurance company did not cover KY. Now I have a PA license still and my car is leased in PA, so I would prefer to keep my registration there if possible, because registering an out of state leased vehicle is a lengthy and costly process. I would like to know if it is possible and/or legal to keep the car registered in PA at my previous address/sister's address even though my insurance is in KY?
